itunes and kure beach

 

First I want to start with saying that I am loving the new Itunes 8.  The layout didn’t change much just made it cleaner and easier to use.  Menus are easier to access so you can adjust settings for things such as burning without going through the preferences menu.  Most of all I am enjoying the “Genius” feature.  I have been a big fan of Pandora Radio and this is the next best thing for sure. If you’re not familiar with “Genius” it is a feature that allows you to pick a song in your playlist and it will find other songs in your music library that sound similar and put them in a playlist mix for you.  This update also configures with your ipod and iphone so that Genius goes with you.  Also it looks for music you haven’t purchased that you may like to buy from the itunes store.  Introducing you to new artists that play the styles you love.

I am getting ready to leave for Kure Beach with our college students.  I am really excited about this weekend and I know God has some great things in store for us.  Stuart Hall will be flying in tonight to hang out with us over the weekend and challenge us with God’s word.  My prayer has been that God will get us to a point of uncomfortable realization.  An uncomfortable reality of self that shows our distance from God and the areas of our lives that we need to draw closer to Him.  Be in prayer for our college students this weekend.  Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to us in a way that leaves us focused on following God.

Stupid stuff

This morning I went to home depot to spend about five bucks on some gloves. Well 100 dollars later I walked out of there with gloves and an awesome new 165 piece tool kit. It was pretty sweet as I opened the box I realized that something very stupid had been accomplished by this company. The plastic packaging was screwed down to the tool box! With philips head screws! The screw drivers are in the box!! COME ON! Now I have to either find a screwdriver to get to my screwdrivers or buy one to get to my tools in the box.
