another one for the fans of mutemath

MUTEMATH

If you didn’t already know one of my all time favorite bands is a little band out of New Orleans, Louisiana called Mute Math.  This is one of the most creative bands making music today.  If you ever get the chance to see them live they are worth every penny.  Right now they have bought a house and are recording a new album set to be released Spring 2009.  As they are recording they are filming the process and releasing small bits of it online via youtube.  Outside the fact that they are ALL amazing musicians the one that stands out to me is the drummer Darren King.  His technical playing is beyond most drummers replication/comprehension.  Watching him play live left me sitting with my mouth hanging wide open.  The video below is incredible.  I hope you like!

On the way to Catalyst Conference

So right about Now I am in a van headed to the big city of Atlanta. Once a year for the past five years I have gone to what I believe to be one of the greatest leadership conferences of our time, Catalyst. Every year nearly 12000 church leaders from all over the united states come to this one event. This year is really special because the entire church staff of Scotts Hill is going. I am really excited to see what God is going to do over the next three days. Right now though I am in van, driving in the rain. But excitment and experience are right around the corner!!
